Job Title: East Africa Insurance Ecosystem Manager Location: Nairobi, Kenya (Tiara Office Park, Mugumo Road, Lavington, Nairobi, Kenya) Monthly base salary: 1,500 – 2,500 USD, plus Quarter Bonus
We are a fast-growing global tech firm focusing on digital solutions for the insurance industry. To expand our business across East Africa, we are now seeking an experienced Insurance Ecosystem Manager to join our local team. This role focuses on ecosystem development, partner expansion, industry connection and project delivery within Kenya’s insurance market.
Key Responsibilities: Build, develop and maintain long-term relationships with local insurance companies, insurance broker alliances and major industry associations in Kenya. Participate in joint customer visits and business expansion activities with our global tech partners. Drive the implementation of 2 to 3 Proof of Concept (PoC) projects, and compile relevant case studies, industry sharing materials after project delivery. Attend and engage in influential local industry events, including Kenya Insurance Week and East Africa Insurance Summit. Establish and operate industry social groups on WhatsApp, continuously collect market intelligence, competitor trends and client demands.
Requirements: Solid working experience in Kenya’s insurance sector, having served as Business Development or Partnership roles within local insurance companies or broker firms. Prior experience in insurance technology or fintech companies, responsible for insurance product line operation or partner development. Hands-on participation experience with mainstream Kenyan insurance industry associations. Proficient in mainstream AI tools such as GPT and Claude for daily work. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. No coding skills required. You need to understand basic SaaS business models including subscription billing and API integration; be able to explain the value of digital systems to IT and business leaders of insurance companies simply and clearly. Familiar with mainstream CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have): Experience in embedded insurance or bancassurance projects. Cooperation experience with local mobile financial platforms and commercial banks. Past participation experience in Kenya Insurance Week, AIO Conference and other key industry summits. Cross-border business expansion experience covering Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and other East African countries. Working or cooperation experience with Asian technology enterprises. Familiar with the regulatory framework of Kenya’s insurance industry. Conversational Chinese (big plus).
