Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Lawyer role based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Lawyer will advise and represent clients in Family, Conveyancing, Corporate, and Immigration matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents and contracts. Daily responsibilities include conducting legal research, preparing pleadings and opinions, managing case files, and attending court sessions, tribunals, and client meetings as required. The role involves liaising with government agencies, registries, and other stakeholders to complete transactions and filings in a timely manner. The Lawyer will also support business development initiatives, maintain accurate records and compliance with applicable laws, and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and process improvement. Qualifications Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills, with the ability to prepare clear opinions, contracts, and pleadings. Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transaction documents, agreements, and court documents. Effective client service, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly. Excellent time management, organization, and case management skills, with the ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously. High ethical standards, sound judgment, discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognized institution and admission to practice law in Kenya (or eligibility for admission). Computer proficiency in standard office applications and legal research tools; familiarity with case management systems is an advantage. Prior experience in a law firm or in-house legal department is an added advantage.
