Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Insurance Agency Officer. The Insurance Agency Officer will be responsible for selling insurance products, building customer relationships, analyzing client needs, and providing tailored insurance solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying potential clients, explaining insurance policies, managing customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires close collaboration with the sales teams to ensure client satisfaction and alignment with organizational goals.

Reports To: Insurance Manager Department: Insurance Services Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Growth & Sales Drive growth of the insurance business within and outside Adjacent Possible Finance channels. Actively prospect, market, and sell a wide range of insurance products to existing and potential customers. Conduct client needs assessments and provide professional advice on appropriate coverage options aligned with available policies. Prepare and present competitive quotations, negotiate terms with clients, and close sales to meet set targets.
  2. Customer Service & Technical Advisory Provide timely and professional responses to customer and staff inquiries on insurance products, underwriting requirements, and claim procedures. Continuously update clients on the status of their claims and ensure seamless follow-up with insurers until settlement.
  3. Product Development & Market Intelligence Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to support development of new insurance products or enhancement of existing ones. Identify emerging customer needs, competitor trends, and market gaps to guide the insurance strategy.
  4. Training & Awareness Champion insurance awareness, training, and sensitization among staff and customers to promote a strong insurance culture. Support branch teams in cross-selling and up-selling insurance products through training and provision of marketing materials. The successful jobholder will be required to possess the following qualifications and experience; ·        A diploma or university Degree preferably in Insurance or Business field from a recognized University. ·        Professional qualification in Insurance or good progress in COP / Diploma or a business-related course is an added advantage. ·    1 Years Insurance marketing experience. ·        Excellent communicator with ability to work effectively in a diversified set up and in a highly collaborative team environment. ·        Proven ability to respond quickly, independently and appropriately to competing priorities under tight deadlines ·        Knowledgeable in compiling data and preparing a variety of reports as well as ability to verify the accuracy of documents
