Job Overview/Summary
The IT department provides end-to-end solutions for the organization including Application Development, Integration and Management, Enterprise Architecture, User Experience, Quality Assurance & Testing, and overall Project Management.
Collaborating with IT colleagues and business partners, the Technical Business Systems Analyst works to improve the efficient setup and deployment of business applications at IRC to meet end user needs and IRC's mission, with a focus on financial, supply chain, and project management domains.
Major Responsibilities
Collaborate with Business System Analysts, Business users and other stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations and create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, code documentation and deployment guides. Lead the design and delivery of AI-powered solutions within D365 Finance & Operations, identifying high-value use cases for Copilot, agentic automation, and intelligent workflows that enhance financial, supply chain, and project management processes. Architect and implement integrations between D365 F&O and Azure AI services (including Azure OpenAI Service and AI Builder), enabling intelligent document processing, predictive analytics, and AI-assisted decision-making across enterprise business processes. Configure and extend Copilot Studio and Power Automate to build autonomous agents and AI-driven workflows that reduce manual effort, accelerate approvals, and surface real-time insights from D365 F&O data. Evaluate emerging AI technologies and vendor offerings, assess feasibility for D365 F&O environments, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for business and technology stakeholders. Design, develop, and maintain customizations and extensions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and Implement enhancements, integrations and performance optimizations based on business requirements. Participate in issue analysis, debugging, and resolution of production and support tickets and also support deployment activities, including builds, releases and validation in production environments. Conduct unit testing, participate in peer code reviews, and maintain technical documentation. Support deployment activities, including builds, releases, and validation in production environments Lead the administration, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise business systems used across departments including finance, supply chain, HR, and other operational functions while ensuring that systems align with organizational policies, security standards, and compliance requirements. Acquire domain expertise in cross-functional business processes and the systems that support them while keeping abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies — including AI, agentic automation, and intelligent enterprise capabilities — relevant to enterprise business systems. Manage relationships with software vendors and implementation partners to support system enhancements and issue resolution and maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, system configurations, data flows, and security models. Coordinate with QA teams to support functional, user acceptance, and regression testing across systems. Provide Level 3 support for enterprise systems, resolving complex issues and collaborating with internal and external teams as needed. Support processes for system updates, advancements, and new implementations.

Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field with 5+ years of hands-on experience developing with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and strong proficiency in X++ programming language. Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and detailing cross-functional business, functional, and technical requirements, experience with enterprise system testing, including case development and execution. Knowledge of D365 F&O architecture, data models, and Proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL for database operations. Experience with SSRS, Power BI, or other reporting tools Proficient in system administration, support, and change management in a global or multi-site environment Superb communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly with strong attention to detail, active listening, and analytical thinking! Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams with proven ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse teams and organizational levels
AI & Emerging Technology Skills (Required)
Experience implementing and extending Copilot and AI agent capabilities within Dynamics 365 F&O, including configuring autonomous workflows, agent orchestration, and understanding of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for tool and data integration Knowledge of Azure AI services integration with D365 F&O (Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Services) and experience with AI-driven process automation tools such as AI Builder, Copilot Studio, and intelligent document processing Familiarity with large language model (LLM) concepts, including prompt engineering techniques for enterprise applications, and the ability to evaluate and guide AI-generated outputs for accuracy and business relevance Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns and how enterprise data (structured and unstructured) can be leveraged to ground AI outputs in organizational context Awareness of responsible AI principles, including data privacy, bias mitigation, output validation, and AI governance frameworks — particularly as they apply to sensitive humanitarian data and multi-region compliance requirements Ability to evaluate AI-powered solutions and vendor offerings, assess technical feasibility for business use cases, and translate AI capabilities and limitations into actionable recommendations for stakeholders
