Kenya Commercial Bank Limited is registered as a non-operating holding company which started operations as a licensed banking institution with effect from January 1, 2016. The holding company oversees KCB Kenya - incorporated with effect from January 1, 2016 - and all KCB's regional units in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia and South Sudan. It also owns KCB Insurance Agency, KCB Capital, KCB Foundation and all associate companies. The holding company was set up to among other things to enhance the Group's capacity to access unrestricted capital and also enable investment in new ventures outside banking regulations, achieve operational and strategic autonomy for the Group's operating entities and enhance corporate governance across the Group and oversight in management of subsidiaries.Key Responsibilities: Drive revenue growth and expand the active merchant portfolio in the hospitality sector Lead merchant acquisition, onboarding, and optimization across acquiring platforms and payment gateways Mobilize deposits from hospitality merchants to support business growth Deliver exceptional merchant service, training, and relationship management Build and maintain strong partnerships with hotels, restaurants, and travel & tourism businesses Uphold high service standards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational excellence and seamless service delivery Drive team capability development and performance improvement Execute strategic business initiatives, projects, and marketing campaigns Proactively manage merchant risk, compliance, and sector exposures Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university Professional qualifications in Banking or Management (Advantageous) Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) (Added Advantage) Experience & Expertise: Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking At least 1 year in retail banking or merchant acquiring environments Demonstrated experience in: Sales, marketing, and relationship management (2+ years) Banking operations and IT/systems exposure (2+ years – banking experience required) Card operations and payment schemes (Visa, MasterCard, UPI, Kenswitch) (4+ years) Prior experience within the hospitality sector (hotels, restaurants, travel & tours) is a strong advantage Key Competencies: Strong business development and negotiation skills Proven ability to build and manage strategic client relationships Strong commercial acumen and results orientation Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver strategic initiatives High levels of integrity, ownership, and attention to detail
