The ideal candidate has demonstrated the capability to bridge and academia and grow graduate employability while ensuring sustainability. The purpose of this position is to carry out teaching roles, student mentoring, research and other duties in liaison with the universitys overall goal. Duties and responsibilities Teaching Electrical and Electronics Engineering units allocated by the Head of Department.   Designing, developing, planning and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.   Delivering high-quality lectures. Reviewing course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.   Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and the development of research activities.   Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and the development of research activities.   Carrying out research and writing research grant proposals.   Seeking and participating in consultancies.   Presenting research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.   Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.   Disseminating research outputs.   Ensuring all academic activities align with the standards of Commission for University Education and the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK). Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor. qualification and experience A minimum of a relevant PhD, Masters and bachelor's degree in electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a relevant field from an accredited and recognised University.  At least 3 years of teaching/research experience at the University level as a Lecturer/ Research Fellow.  Has evidence of publications as a Lecturer/Research Fellow.  Has demonstrable leadership and administrative experience. Experience as a Head or Chair of Department, programme leader, post graduate coordinator or other relevant management experience will be highly considered.   Supervised at least two (2) postgraduate students to completion.  Attracted research funds.  Has evidence of attending and contributing at academic conferences, seminars and workshops.  A technological visionary with the agility to lead the school to stay relevant in the rapidly changing technological landscapes.  Demonstrable skills as a strategic leader who bridges academia and industry, focusing on sustainable growth and market-driven educational value. Is up to date with industry standards and has established noteworthy linkages with the industry.  Has demonstrated firm commitment to sustainability in their previous roles. Valid membership with Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
