Kenyatta University, is a multi-campus public university in Kenya. As of October 2014, it was one of twenty three public universities in the countryQualifications PhD in Marketing from an accredited university. The doctorate MUST be in Marketing (not a general Business Administration or Management PhD). Master’s degree (MBA or MSc) in a business-related area, preferably with a Marketing specialisation/option, from an accredited university. Bachelor’s degree in a business-related area, preferably in Marketing, from an accredited university. Consistent progression in the three degrees (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD) as per the Commission for University Education (CUE) guidelines. Teaching Experience Demonstrable university-level teaching experience in Marketing courses at undergraduate and, preferably, postgraduate level. Evidence of curriculum development and examination work in Marketing. Experience in supervising postgraduate students’ research projects and theses will be an added advantage. Research and Publications Demonstrable research experience in Marketing or a closely related business area. Publications in refereed journals in line with the Kenyatta University/CUE requirements for appointment at the rank of Lecturer. Evidence of ability to attract and manage research grants will be an added advantage. Professional and Other Requirements Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., the Marketing Society of Kenya or the Chartered Institute of Marketing) will be an added advantage. Proficiency in ICT and in the use of learning management systems. Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya at the point of appointment.
