As of October 2014, it was one of twenty three public universities in the countryQualifications and Experience A master’s degree in Pharmacology, a BPharm Degree, from a local or foreign university recognized by the Commission for University Education, Kenya. A PhD in Pharmacology will be an added advantage Ten (10) years of work experience Five (5) years of teaching experience For the BPharm degree holder, the applicant should be registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya and have a valid pharmacist practice license. Membership of a relevant Professional Association Teaching and research experience appropriate to the rank At least 5–10 publications. Supervision of three (3) master’s students.
