Peoplelink Consultants Ltd is a consultancy services company incorporated under the laws of Kenya. Responsbilities Validate shipping and customs documentation to ensure compliance before submitting declarations. Prepare and process customs entries for imports, exports, warehousing, transit, and transshipment cargo. Apply for Import Declaration Forms (IDFs) and process permits through the KENTRADE system. Advise clients on customs requirements, valuation, applicable duties, taxes, and tariff classifications. Follow up with KRA, KENTRADE, and other regulatory agencies to secure necessary approvals and permits. Support the cargo clearance process by preparing documentation and coordinating bond registration or cancellation procedures. Resolve declaration-related issues, queries, and customs disputes efficiently. Provide technical guidance on customs procedures and compliance matters to internal operations and sales teams. Maintain accurate, audited records of clearance documentation and ensure timely communication with clients. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Clearing & Forwarding, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven hands-on experience in customs declaration and clearing and forwarding operations. Strong knowledge of KRA customs procedures, KENTRADE systems, tariff classifications, and regional customs regulations. Proficiency in customs declaration software and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict operational deadlines.
