Job Description for Data Analyst

We are seeking a Support Engineer to provide operational support for Azure Data, Analytics, Reporting, and AI solutions. The role is responsible for ensuring platform reliability, resolving incidents, monitoring data quality, supporting business users, and driving continuous service improvements across Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Databricks, and AI-enabled solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Incident & Problem Management

Monitor and resolve incidents related to data pipelines, reporting solutions, and analytics platforms. Investigate data discrepancies, KPI mismatches, refresh failures, and processing issues. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures. Manage escalations and coordinate with engineering teams for issue resolution. Track incidents, service requests, and problem records through ticketing systems.

Data Platform Support

Support Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks, SQL, and Data Lake workloads. Monitor ETL/ELT pipeline executions and data integration processes. Troubleshoot data ingestion, transformation, and data movement failures. Validate data availability, completeness, and accuracy across platforms.

Reporting & Analytics Support

Support Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and scheduled refreshes. Investigate reporting issues and validate business metrics and KPIs. Assist users with report access, data interpretation, and usage issues. Ensure reporting solutions meet SLA and business requirements.

Data Quality & Monitoring

Perform proactive data quality checks and anomaly detection. Monitor data freshness, completeness, and consistency. Support implementation of data governance and quality controls. Create operational dashboards and health monitoring reports.

Security & Access Management

Manage user access requests and security permissions. Support Row-Level Security (RLS) and workspace access controls. Ensure compliance with security and governance policies. Coordinate with security teams for audits and compliance requirements.

AI-Powered Operations

Utilize AI-powered SRE agents for proactive monitoring and incident detection. Support automated alerting, issue triaging, and stakeholder communications. Leverage AI tools to accelerate RCA, troubleshooting, and operational reporting. Contribute to continuous improvement through automation and intelligent monitoring solutions.

Stakeholder & User Support

Provide Tier-2/Tier-3 support to business users and leadership teams. Communicate incident status, impact assessments, and resolution timelines. Maintain knowledge repositories, support documentation, and runbooks. Collaborate with Data Engineers, TPMs, Architects, and Reporting teams.
