Machakos County, nicknamed 'Macha,’ was the first capital city of Kenya and is now an administrative county in Kenya. Machakos is made up of eight (8) constituencies including Machakos Town, Mavoko, Masinga, Yatta, Kangundo, Kathiani, Matungulu, and Mwala. Machakos Town is the administrative capital of the County.Duties and Responsibilities Taking history, examining, diagnosing, ordering laboratory imaging investigations Interpreting laboratory and imaging results Treating patients’ common ailments at outpatient or inpatients health facility Providing community health care services in liaison with other health workers Guiding and counselling patients, clients and staff on health issues Sensitizing patients and clients on preventive and promotive health Carrying out surgical procedures as per training and skill Collecting and compiling clinical data Preparing medico-legal briefs on clinical services Referring patients and clients to appropriate health facilities Requirement for Appointment Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Clinical Medicine and Community Health or its equivalents qualification from a recognized institution Certificate of registration from Clinical Officers Council Valid professional practice license from the Clinical Officers Council Proficiency in computer application
