Job Summary

Our client is seeking a highly organized, analytical, and hands-on Finance Manager to oversee the organization's finance and accounting function. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining complete and up-to-date financial records, strengthening internal controls, and providing sound financial advice to support business decision-making.

The Finance Manager will supervise the finance team, develop and implement financial policies and procedures, ensure statutory compliance, manage cash flow, and deliver timely financial reports. This role requires a proactive professional who can improve financial processes, maintain accurate books of accounts, and support the organization's growth through effective financial management.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

● Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate books of accounts and financial records.

● Ensure all accounting transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.

● Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

● Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate working capital to support business operations.

● Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

● Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Financial Controls & Compliance

● Develop, implement, and continuously improve finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.

● Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax laws, and all statutory and regulatory requirements.

● Coordinate external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.

● Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory returns and payments.

Leadership & Operations

● Supervise, mentor, and support the finance team to ensure high standards of performance and accountability.

● Monitor the quality and accuracy of accounting entries and financial records.

● Ensure financial activities are completed within agreed timelines and reporting deadlines.

● Collaborate with department heads to support budgeting and cost management initiatives.

Business Support

● Provide financial insights and strategic advice to management to support informed business decisions.

● Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.

● Prepare financial analyses and reports to support business growth and investment decisions.

● Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

Key Performance Indicators

● Ensure all financial records and accounting entries are accurate, complete, and up to date.

● Strengthen supervision of the finance function, resulting in improved team performance and accountability.

● Develop, implement, and document key finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.

● Deliver accurate monthly financial reports and statutory submissions within agreed deadlines while providing timely financial advice to management.

Qualifications

● Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is required.

● CPA Part III (or equivalent professional accounting qualification) is mandatory.

● Minimum of 4–6 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with supervisory responsibilities.

● Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.

● Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and statutory compliance.

● Experience developing financial policies and implementing internal controls is highly desirable
