Tatu City Limited

Real Estate full time Kiambu Posted 3 weeks ago

Tatu is a project of Rendeavour, Africa’s largest urban land developer with over 30,000 acres of visionary projects in the growth trajectories of large cities in Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia and Democratic Republic of Congo. Rendeavour’s vision goes beyond alleviating what is a self-evident problem - that of stifling urban congestion and a dearth of quality housing and commercial property in Africa. Rather, we aim to help create the infrastructure - the living and working spaces, communities, schools and hospitals - that will help sustain and accelerate Africa’s economic growth, meet the aspirations of Africa’s burgeoning middle classes, and serve as a catalyst for further urban development. Role Overview Provide the technical backbone of the business by translating client and architectural requirements into accurate shop drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), glass specifications, and project budgets. The TDO ensures that both fabrication and installation teams have precise guidance, while also equipping sales and finance with cost data and technical support. Key Responsibilities: Drawings & Specifications Interpret architectural and structural drawings into aluminium shop drawings and fabrication details. Conduct site measurements and prepare “as-built” drawings where necessary. Produce detailed cutting lists, assembly drawings, and installation details. Define glass specifications, hardware requirements, and finishing details. Bills of Materials (BOMs) & Procurement Support Prepare complete BOMs for each project, covering aluminium profiles, glass, hardware, accessories, and consumables. Identify material sources: internal stock vs. external suppliers. Support procurement by providing technical input on supplier quotes and alternatives. Pricing & Offers Support Provide sales staff with BOMs, glass specifications, and labour/transport estimates to form accurate quotations and proposals. Ensure technical accuracy of offers before they are shared with clients. Liaise with sales staff to answer client technical queries during bidding/negotiation. Project Budgeting & Cost Tracking Prepare the initial project budget, including materials, labour, transport, and contingencies. Submit budgets for approval and hand over to finance for tracking. Assist finance and operations in monitoring project costs vs. budget. Coordination & Documentation Maintain a record of all drawings, BOMs, and revisions. Coordinate with fabrication, installation, storekeeping, sales, and finance teams to ensure technical alignment. Participate in technical meetings with clients, suppliers, and consultants. Requirements Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or equivalent). Strong knowledge of aluminium systems, hardware, and glass specifications. Cost estimation and budgeting skills. Analytical, detail-oriented, and precise. Strong cross-functional communication (sales, finance, operations). Ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines.
