Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry & Bookkeeping: Record daily financial transactions accurately into the accounting software and maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist in processing supplier invoices, preparing payment schedules, and verifying customer receipts.
- Reconciliations: Perform daily or monthly bank, petty cash, and supplier account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Gather data to help the finance team prepare regular administrative and financial reports.
- Compliance: Assist in the preparation of documents for tax and statutory compliance (e.g VAT, PAYE, and NSSF/NHIF in Kenya).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Certificate or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related Business field.
- (Alternatively, progressing through CPA Level 1 or 2).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with modern accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally).
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to handle figures
accurately.
