JOB SUMMARY

Key Responsibilities: Preparing statutory reports in utmost accuracy for regulatory submissions within stipulated timelines and ensuring nil non-compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. Ensuring all credit related GLs are reconciled and aligned to the related listings monthly and updating the GL attestations timely. Preparation of other scheduled/adhoc external reports to DFIs, CRBs, KBA, Guarantee Funds and other financial stakeholders. Ensuring CRB reporting requirements are fully met and the submission error logs are keep at the very minimal levels if any. To ensure all data requirements for Guarantee funds are up to date with ability to respond conclusively to any related queries and clarifications. Performing analysis/review of risk classification of loans advances and computing the required general and specific provisioning of the portfolio in line with CBK Prudential Guidelines.  Facilitating any required strategic management reports for risk management and decision making. Supporting facilitation of seamless audit processes by co-ordination of all requirements within credit department. Preparation of Internal reports to Departmental units and management accurately and within the agreed timelines. Supporting in co-ordination of CRMC/BCC papers, preparation of the Agenda and circulation of Matters Arising from previous meetings for input by all relevant stakeholders. Preparation and modelling of IFRS9 numbers, validating the ECL results  and analyzing impacts. Monitor and report loan portfolio performance and trends to provide insight to business teams and management. Tracking credit policy requirements against internal and regulatory limits and reporting any breaches or exceptions to management.  Providing input in the review  and update of the credit reporting related policies and guidelines. Supporting any Bank project relating to credit reporting aspects. Supporting in the Credit Department Budgetary process. Presentation of all required MIS – Analytics and Dashboards. Supporting in execution of tasks within the unit in liaison with the other team members and as assigned by the line manager. Academic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized institution. Qualification in any data analytics course will be an added advantage. Work Experience:5 years banking experience with at least 2-3 years’ within credit reporting lines. Well versed with CBK Prudential Guidelines relating to Asset Classification, knowledge of relevant bank processes, policies and procedures. Knowledge and experience in IFRS9 reporting requirements and modelling expectations in line with the IFRS9 standard. Key Competencies:Technical skills with high proficiency in Microsoft excel and PowerPoint. Report writing skills Numeric skills. Analytics skills. Skills and Attributes:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent time management skills; and Good planning and organization skills.
