We are the one stop Centre for all of your management and Human Resource needs.Job Role The Accounting Manager (Real Estate) is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance processes specific to property management, real estate investments, and development projects. This role ensures accurate financial records, manages the accounting team, and supports strategic financial planning for real estate operations. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles, real estate finance, and property regulations. Duties and Responsibilities    Real Estate Financial Management & Reporting Oversee accounting functions related to property portfolios, including rental income, service charges, property sales, and lease accounting. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports for real estate projects and property holdings. Review financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and real estate industry standards. Lead month-end and year-end closing processes for property-related accounts. Monitor real estate transactions and recommend corrective actions for discrepancies.    Budgeting & Forecasting Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts for property management and development projects. Analyze real estate financial data to provide insights on profitability, occupancy rates, and investment performance. Ensure cost control measures are in place for property operations and construction projects.    Compliance & Audit Ensure compliance with tax regulations, real estate accounting standards, and company policies. Manage audits (internal and external) related to property portfolios and coordinate with auditors. Maintain documentation for property tax filings, audits, and financial statements.    Team Leadership & Process Improvement Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including training and performance evaluations. Implement best practices to enhance financial efficiency and reporting accuracy in real estate operations. Identify opportunities for automation in property accounting and reporting.    Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication Work closely with property managers, developers, and senior management to support strategic decision-making. Collaborate with other departments (legal, operations, sales) to ensure financial alignment with real estate business goals. Provide financial insights and reports to support executive decision-making on property investments. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or Real Estate Finance. Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Real Estate Management is an added advantage. CPA-K, ACCA, or equivalent qualification. At least 5 years’ experience in accounting, with a portion in real estate or property management. Strong knowledge of real estate finance, property taxation, and lease accounting. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with property management/accounting systems. Competencies Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Deep understanding of real estate financial structures. High level of confidentiality and integrity. Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
