Customers make a small down payment followed by daily or weekly payments, equivalent to their existing fuel costs, using mobile technology to unlock energy and then they own the unit outright as quickly as 1 year. Role Profile  We are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Product Engineer to support the development, testing, validation, and continuous improvement of Solar Panda’s product portfolio, including Solar Home Systems, Control Units, TVs, solar panels, batteries, and related accessories. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges, improving product performance, and working across cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products. Responsibilities Support the design, development, and continuous improvement of Solar Panda products. Plan and execute product testing, validation, and prototype evaluations. Investigate product failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Drive product quality and reliability improvements throughout the product lifecycle. Provide technical support for operations, refurbishment, customer support, and other internal teams. Coordinate engineering projects and support new product introductions. Maintain engineering documentation, technical reports, and product specifications. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 5 to 8 years’ experience in product engineering, electronics engineering, renewable energy, embedded systems, or consumer electronics. Experience working with contract manufacturers or international suppliers is an advantage. Strong understanding of electronic hardware, embedded systems, solar products, batteries, and consumer electronics. Experience with product testing, reliability engineering, engineering change management, and root cause analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Python for technical data analysis is desirable.
