The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) was established by an Act of Parliament, Chapter 469 of the laws of Kenya , which became effective on 1st July 1995 . The Authority is charged with the responsibility of collecting revenue on behalf of the Government of Kenya. A Board of Directors, consisting of both public and private sector experts, makes policy decisions to be implemented by KRA Management. The Chairman of the Board is appointed by the President of the Republic of Kenya . The Chief Executive of the Authority is the Commissioner General who is appointed by the Minister for Finance. PURPOSE OF KRA Assessment , Collection, Administration and Enforcement of laws relating to revenue. Job Summary The jobholder will be responsible for providing executive support to the CEO and offer HR and Administrative Support in the office. Duties & Responsibilities: Provide administrative and executive support to the CEO, HR function, and management team. Coordinate office administration activities and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Support HR administrative processes including staff records management, onboarding coordination, leave tracking, and training logistics. Receive, record, and distribute official correspondence, packages, and documents. Organize meetings, prepare meeting materials, take minutes, and follow up on action points. Manage office supplies, filing systems, and general office records. Coordinate travel arrangements, appointments, and schedules for the CEO’s office. Handle telephone calls, visitor reception, and stakeholder enquiries professionally. Support internal and external communication with staff, clients, and service providers. Assist in implementing and maintaining office administration and HR procedures. Handle administrative requests and provide general office support to staff and management. Person Specifications For appointment to this job, the candidate must have: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Secretarial Studies, or a related field from a recognized institution. At least two (2) years' relevant experience in administration, executive support, or human resource support. Membership to the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) or a relevant professional body will be an added advantage. Key Competencies Excellent oral and written communication skills.
