Trans Nzoia County Water & Sanitation Company Ltd (formerly known as Trans Nzoia County Water and Sewerage Company Ltd) was incorporated on 2nd July, 2020 under Companies Act, 2015. The company started its operations on 1st July 2024, following declustering of Nzoia Water Services Company Limited. The company is fully owned by the County Government of Trans Nzoia. The company is licensed by Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) as the sole water and sanitation services provider in TransNzoia County.Job Description Duties and Responsibilities Providing strategic and technical leadership in the Technical Services Department to ensure provision of high-quality services to customers. Steering the development of departmental policies, procedures and actions plans in line with the Company mission and objectives. Overseeing sourcing, production, treatment and distribution of water; Overseeing proper treatment and disposal of wastewater; Overseeing maintenance of the water infrastructure; Coordinating monitoring water levels in all the company’s storage reservoirs on daily basis; Overseeing accurate preparation of water production and supply statistics; Overseeing preparation of comprehensive departmental reports, procurement plans and budgets, to Managing Director to facilitate decision-making; Ensuring that water and sewerage infrastructure is operated and maintained to the required standards; Providing technical expertise and advice on the acquisition of contractors and consultants for major works; Implementation of the Strategic Plan, work plan and performance targets; Optimal utilization and supervision of staff within the Division; Providing overall supervision of major works; Management of Non-Revenue Water; Enhancing research and innovation; Overseeing the planning and coordination of quality, maintenance and engineering (capacity works) related issues; Person Specification For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: Master’s degree in engineering (Civil/Water) from a recognized Institution. Bachelor’s Degree (Civil/Water) from a recognized Institution. Twelve (12) years’ cumulative relevant work experience, five (5) of which should have been in a management position. Certificate of Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution. Must be registered with Engineers Board of Kenya. Member of Institute of Engineers Kenya. Valid practicing license. Certificate in Computer Applications.
