The Mirema dream started off way back in 1997 when a couple called for a family meeting to share their desire to start a school. Mirema School, a Christian based primary school offering the 2.6.6.3/8.4.4 curriculum, International British Curriculum & Special Needs Curriculum.Responsibilities Learner Assessment & Support – Coordinate the identification, assessment and support of learners with special educational needs. Inclusive Education – Support teachers in implementing inclusive teaching strategies and appropriate classroom accommodations. Parent & Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with parents, teachers, school leaders and specialists to support learner success. Progress Monitoring – Monitor learner progress, maintain accurate records and provide reports and recommendations. Department Leadership – Lead the Special Needs and Learning Support Department, promoting excellence, inclusion and continuous improvement. Quality Assurance & Compliance – Ensure learning support programmes comply with school policies and inclusive education standards. Staff Development – Facilitate training and coaching to strengthen inclusive teaching practices across the school. Resource Management – Coordinate specialised learning resources and assistive technologies to enhance learner support. Requirements 5 years relevant subject matter teaching experience and/or 4 years relevant managerial/leadership experience. Bachelor's Degree in Special Needs Education. TSC Registration. Valid certificate of good conduct.
