Plant & Mechanical Engineer Location: Kenya & Rwanda | Department: Maintenance & Engineering Experience: 7–15 Years | Qualification: Degree/Higher Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Job Summary: We are looking for experienced Plant & Mechanical Engineers to manage maintenance, installation, commissioning, and reliability of processing and cold-chain equipment across operations in Kenya and Rwanda. Key Responsibilities: Lead mechanical and electrical maintenance of plant, processing and cold-chain equipment. Manage installation, commissioning, testing and contractor activities. Develop and implement preventive and planned maintenance systems to improve equipment uptime. Supervise technicians and contractors and manage daily maintenance activities. Manage spare parts, maintenance budgets and external service contractors. Ensure compliance with safety, food safety and environmental standards. Maintain maintenance records, downtime reports and failure analysis. Key Requirements: 7–15 years of experience in plant, processing or facility maintenance. Experience with industrial refrigeration/blast freezers, conveyors, dryers, ventilation, generators, electrical systems, hydraulics and plumbing. Food processing, cold chain, feed milling, poultry or similar industry experience preferred. HVAC/Refrigeration certification and East African experience will be an advantage.
