Being a medium sized company, we provide our clients with quality, personalized, cost effective, efficient and reliable services.Major / Primary Responsibilities Responsible for structural design, analysis, calculations, and technical support for data centers and related buildings. Responsible for the design and verification of reinforced concrete structures, steel structures, foundations, and related structural elements. Develop structural schemes, perform structural calculations, and prepare construction drawings based on architectural layouts and MEP requirements. Perform structural load analysis, including equipment loads, floor loads, suspended loads, wind loads, seismic loads, and other applicable loads. Design steel structural systems, including steel frames, columns, beams, bracing systems, and structural connections. Design foundations and foundation-related structures, including isolated footings, strip foundations, raft foundations, and equipment foundations. Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines to resolve structural design and construction issues. Provide structural technical support during construction, including design changes, technical clarifications, and site support. Prepare and review structural design documents, calculation reports, drawings, specifications, and other technical deliverables. Understand the LLD, BoQ and responsibility matrix well and clarify to subcontractors; Provide support for: Project management, including sub-contractor selection & management, supply chain, procurement, process management and acceptance. Lead the civil work implement onsite, manage the relationship with customer and third party consultant or supervision; At least 5 years design and supervision experience Finalize the civil work SOP(standard of procedure ) and onsite check subcontractor installation quality; Coordinate different team Manage the project implement plan and catch up if any delay Other Competencies / Attributes: Effective communications skills Persuasive and Presentation skills Proven ability to work in team Must be able to work in a structured manner Advanced interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven conflict and issue management skills Experience of working with audiences with varying levels of technical understanding in different cultures Team-oriented leadership and management skills and a professional attitude towards colleagues and clients Must be presentable, articulate, reliable, committed and resilient Work on multiple data center construction projects and capital improvement projects simultaneously Qualifications / Experience Degree in Engineering (Structural and Civil) non-negotiable. Minimum 6 years structural / civil engineering experience, involving medium to large scale and complex projects (experience with data centre, mission critical and industrial projects). Minimum 3 large scale civil work implement experience. Certificate of Registered Professional Engineer is preferred. In-depth knowledge of structural and civil engineering components for the construction of buildings (including drainage systems). Experience in AutoCAD Skill (Mandatory), Structure Calculation such as Tekla Structures or SAP2000 or ETABS (Mandatory)Revit, BIM skill is preferred， Tekla Structures/SAP2000/ETABS Vendor and consultant management skills. Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standards across the Kenya and Africa region. International project and program experience. Excellent communication skills capability, attention to detail, and high quality standards. Ability to manage multiple fast paced projects simultaneously and good project management capability.
