DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cleaning staff.

·       Allocate cleaning duties and ensure staff follow the agreed cleaning schedules.

·       Inspect cleaning areas regularly to ensure the required standards are maintained.

·       Ensure offices, common areas, washrooms, corridors, and other designated areas are kept clean and presentable.

·       Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, and general conduct.

·       Provide guidance and support to cleaning staff and address day-to-day performance issues.

·       Ensure cleaning chemicals, materials, and equipment are used correctly and safely.

·       Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages or damaged equipment to the Head of Department.

·       Maintain basic records of cleaning schedules, staff attendance, inspections, and supplies as required.

·       Ensure cleaning staff follow health, safety, hygiene, and workplace procedures.

·       Respond to and follow up on cleanliness-related complaints or requests.

·       Coordinate additional or special cleaning requirements when necessary.

·       Identify areas where cleaning standards can be improved and take appropriate corrective action.

·       Liaise with the Head of Department and relevant service providers on cleaning-related matters.

·       Carry out any other cleaning-related duties assigned by the Head of Department.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

·       KCSE Certificate or equivalent qualification

·       Certificate or training in Cleaning, Housekeeping, Hospitality, Facilities Management, or a related field is an added advantage

·       Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role, preferably within cleaning, housekeeping, facilities management, hospitality, commercial buildings, or a related environment

·       Demonstrable experience supervising and coordinating a team of cleaning staff
