Job Purpose The Marketing Officer will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the company’s marketing initiatives to drive brand visibility, customer engagement, and sales growth of synthetic hair products. The role focuses on digital marketing, field activations, merchandising oversight, trade marketing, salon and retailer engagement, market intelligence, and execution of promotional activities to strengthen market presence and brand competitiveness. Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategy Support & Market Planning • Support the development and execution of monthly and quarterly marketing plans and campaigns to drive awareness and sales of synthetic hair products. • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and trend monitoring within the synthetic hair and beauty industry. • Gather consumer insights and identify emerging market opportunities to support business growth initiatives. • Monitor emerging beauty, fashion, and hairstyle trends relevant to synthetic hair products.
  2. Digital Marketing & Brand Presence • Coordinate and manage the company’s social media platforms to enhance brand visibility, customer engagement, and online presence. • Create, coordinate, and schedule visually engaging content showcasing product quality, durability, texture, color variety, styling versatility, and ease of use. • Support execution of targeted digital campaigns to increase customer reach, engagement, and brand awareness. • Coordinate collaborations with beauty influencers, hairstylists, salons, and content creators to strengthen product visibility and market appeal. • Monitor online engagement and respond to customer inquiries, comments, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Field & Trade Marketing • Plan and coordinate marketing activations, roadshows, beauty expos, promotional campaigns, and brand engagement activities at universities, colleges, churches, women groups, retail outlets, and key business locations. • Supervise and coordinate merchandisers to ensure proper product visibility, shelf organization, branding execution, stock display, and placement of point-of-sale materials in supermarkets, beauty shops, wholesalers, and retail stores. • Monitor merchandiser attendance, route coverage, performance, and execution standards to ensure effective market coverage and achievement of merchandising objectives. • Conduct regular salon visits, retail visits, and stakeholder engagements to strengthen relationships, gather market intelligence, and collect customer feedback.
  4. Sales Support & Activations • Work closely with the Sales team to support promotional initiatives aimed at increasing product visibility, customer acquisition, and sales performance. • Support implementation of new product/style launches through targeted marketing activities and promotional campaigns. • Coordinate in-store promotions, pop-up styling sessions, and customer engagement activities to strengthen brand presence and customer loyalty. • Support sell-in and sell-out activities through trade marketing initiatives and retailer engagement.
  5. Performance Tracking & Reporting • Track performance of marketing campaigns, field activities, promotions, and activations using relevant performance indicators. • Prepare weekly and monthly marketing reports highlighting performance, market feedback, competitor activities, and recommendations for improvement. • Monitor utilization of approved marketing budgets to ensure cost-effective execution of marketing initiatives.
  6. Stakeholder Coordination & Brand Compliance • Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Procurement, Operations, and external partners to ensure smooth implementation of marketing activities. • Ensure consistent brand representation and compliance with company standards across all marketing and promotional activities. • Ensure all branding materials and promotional activities align with the company’s brand guidelines and objectives.

Role Specifications Academic Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. Experience • Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in marketing, trade marketing, brand marketing, or field marketing. • Experience in the beauty, cosmetics, FMCG, fashion, or hair industry will be an added advantage. • Experience managing or supervising merchandisers is preferred. Knowledge & Skills • Strong knowledge of digital marketing and social media management. • Understanding of trade marketing, merchandising, and retail execution. • Strong content creation and brand communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills. • Good analytical and reporting skills with ability to interpret market trends and campaign performance. • Strong planning, organizational, and coordination skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
