Role Summary The Head of People & Culture will lead all people, culture, and talent functions across the business, ensuring TWL attracts, develops, manages, and retains high-performing team members while strengthening accountability, leadership, engagement, and company culture. This role requires someone who is highly organized, emotionally intelligent, systems-oriented, and passionate about building strong teams and a winning culture. Key Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Lead recruitment across all branches and departments Build structured hiring, onboarding, and induction processes Ensure all hires align with TWL culture and values Develop strong talent pipelines and employer branding initiatives Culture & Employee Experience Drive and strengthen TWL’s “KEEP THE PACE” culture Lead employee engagement and staff wellness initiatives Build strong communication and collaboration across teams Support leadership in creating a positive and accountable workplace Performance & Accountability Drive KPI and performance management systems Coordinate appraisals, probation reviews, and improvement plans Support managers in handling performance and disciplinary matters Help build high-performing leaders and teams Learning & Development Identify training and development needs Coordinate internal and external trainings Develop leadership and succession planning programs Promote continuous learning across the organization HR Operations & Compliance Ensure compliance with Kenyan labour laws and company policies Oversee contracts, leave, attendance, and HR documentation Coordinate payroll support processes with finance Maintain accurate staff records and organizational structures HR Reporting & Strategy Submit weekly and monthly people reports to management Track turnover, recruitment progress, absenteeism, and engagement Support organizational planning and workforce strategy Partner with leadership to improve overall team performance  Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field Minimum 5 years experience in HR leadership Strong understanding of Kenyan labour laws and HR best practices Experience managing teams in a multi-branch environment is an added advantage Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Strong emotional intelligence and professionalism Experience with ERP/HR systems is an advantage  Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Believes culture drives performance Can balance empathy with accountability Is proactive, structured, and solution-oriented Can lead difficult conversations professionally Has strong leadership presence and maturity Wants to build and grow people, not just manage HR  Show more Show less
