Role Description The Communication Expert is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi County, Kenya. This role is responsible for planning, drafting, and refining internal and external communication materials that support CCI Kenya’s brand, operations, and stakeholder engagement. Day-to-day tasks include preparing press releases, talking points, and announcements; coordinating with internal teams to gather information; and aligning messages with organizational goals and guidelines. The Communication Expert will manage internal communications channels, support leadership with presentations and staff updates, and ensure timely, consistent messaging across email, intranet, and other platforms. The role also involves monitoring media and stakeholder feedback, identifying communication risks or opportunities, and recommending strategies to improve clarity, engagement, and reputation. Qualifications
Strong communication and writing skills, including the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. Proficiency in strategic communications and internal communications, with experience aligning messaging to organizational objectives. Experience drafting and managing press releases and media-related content, including coordination with media or external stakeholders. Ability to develop and execute communication plans, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong stakeholder management, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a collaborative and inclusive working style. High attention to detail, strong editing and proofreading abilities, and familiarity with basic digital and office productivity tools. Experience in customer experience, BPO, or a similarly dynamic service environment is an advantage.
