Role Description The Business Development Manager – Motor Vehicle Service Center will be responsible for driving growth and expanding the client base for our motor vehicle service offerings. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi County, Kenya. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and managing key accounts to ensure satisfaction and repeat business. The role involves preparing and presenting business proposals, leading contract negotiations, and collaborating with service center teams to align offerings with client needs. The Business Development Manager will also monitor market trends, analyze competitor activity, and provide regular performance reports and forecasts to inform strategy and decision-making. Qualifications Proven skills in New Business Development and Business Development, with experience identifying prospects, generating leads, and closing new opportunities. Strong Sales capabilities, including pipeline management, opportunity qualification, and delivering persuasive presentations and pitches. Experience in Account Management, with the ability to build long-term relationships, manage client expectations, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Demonstrated competence in Contract Negotiation, including drafting, reviewing, and finalizing agreements that balance client needs and organizational goals. Prior experience in the motor vehicle service, automotive, or related industry is highly desirable. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients. Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, with comfort using CRM tools and basic business reporting. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Automotive Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proactive, goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently on-site and meet revenue and growth targets.
