Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Travel Consultant role based in Kenya. The Travel Consultant will advise clients on travel options, including flights, accommodations, transfers, tours, and travel insurance, while ensuring itineraries align with client preferences and budgets. Responsibilities include preparing and confirming reservations, issuing tickets and vouchers, managing changes or cancellations, and coordinating with airlines, hotels, and other service providers. The role involves responding to inquiries by phone, email, and in person, providing accurate information on visas, health requirements, and travel regulations. The Travel Consultant will also handle payments, maintain client records in booking systems, resolve service issues, and support the development of repeat business through proactive follow-up and excellent customer service.
EXPERIANCE : 4 YEARS
Qualifications Strong skills in Travel Consulting and Travel Management, with the ability to design, plan, and coordinate end-to-end itineraries. Proficiency in handling Travel Arrangements and Reservations using booking tools and platforms ie AERO CRS to secure flights, accommodation, and related services. Excellent Customer Service skills, including clear communication, problem-solving, and the ability to manage client expectations professionally. Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple bookings and deadlines. Working knowledge of international and regional travel regulations, visa requirements, and travel insurance options. Comfort with basic office software and reservation systems; experience with GDS Amadeus and NDC is required. Relevant diploma or degree in Travel, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Ability to work on-site in Kenya, collaborate effectively with diverse teams, and maintain a professional, client-focused approach.
